STEREOSPACE is proud to host MORGU, a progressive doom metal force from Tirana, as they record their upcoming EP in Llukar.
Born from the remnants of some of Albania’s most renowned rock and metal acts, Morgu represents a convergence of experience, intensity, and artistic evolution. As a six-member collective, they channel the weight of progressive doom, the expansiveness of post-metal atmospheres, and the raw edge of blackened soundscapes into a sound that is both cinematic and deeply personal.
Their music is not simply played – it unfolds. Slow-burning passages give way to crushing crescendos; layered textures dissolve into haunting minimalism. Each composition feels like a descent: into emotion, into memory, into something vast and unspoken.
Recording this EP in Llukar carries a particular resonance. Removed from the noise of urban routine, the band has immersed themselves in a focused creative environment – one that mirrors the depth and isolation embedded in their sound. The sessions are shaped by long takes, organic dynamics, and an attention to atmosphere that defines Morgu’s identity.
For STEREOSPACE, hosting Morgu is more than a recording milestone. It is a continuation of our commitment to supporting uncompromising, independent music from the region – music that challenges, expands, and transforms.
This EP marks a new chapter for Morgu. Heavier, more refined, and emotionally unfiltered, the material promises to push further into cinematic darkness while maintaining the raw spirit that defines their roots.
